I used to live in a house that had a secret door leading to something like this. Turns out the previous owners were (licensed) game hunters and SUPER into occult stuff. It was small by catacomb standards, but it had animal bones and melted candles everywhere. Even found a few books on a table about various rituals. Never opened (let alone read it), though. I've seen enough Evil Dead and Berserk to KNOW that's a horrible idea.

We moved out first chance we got. We also notified the local church of what we found just in case. Weird stuff started happening after finding that secret area and we didn't want the next buyers stumbling into a legit haunting or something.

Ahhh right. Jagged's got a bloodhound nose! Eeeeh! So nice to see someone else with hyper sensitive/strong senses
