In a world of Elves, Dwarves, and many different furry beastfolk of all kinds, Sammy Andrews is an ordinary human. Some would say the entire Andrews family is the most stereotypically human family in the entire kingdom.
Sammy is the middle child of the proprietors of the local armaments store. They were willing to begin equipping their son for the purposes of defending the town when they met young Fenris and his noisy arsenal. They quickly became VERY concerned about collateral damage and switched gears toward arming Sammy with the leftover goods from their own store. Sammy took to archery like a duck to water. Sammy quickly developed skills and acquired the attention of the town's only trained, professional Adventurer. Sammy will attend the Royal Adventuring Academy in 3 years. The minimum age for attendance was set for humans and elves. The school might be adjusting those rules for the fuzzier students who mature faster, but that has always been in comparison to the slow, thin skinned, defenseless humans.
Sammy's training will be effectively complete before he even attends his first class.
