What? No this isn't a based on anything...especially not a genderbent version of a particular famous Shonen Protag Ninja. What are you talking about? ;P

Historically you wouldn't think Fire would be very Ninja. Ninjas are supposed to be quiet and sneaky, while fire is bright and gets a lot of attention, but that's exactly the point. Ninjas actually utilized fire a lot especially because big buildings used to be a lot more flammable back in the day. Fire could be the ultimate move in covering your tracks because nobody could prove it was a ninja or just a freak accident. Fire could clear out entire groups of guards from an area and give ninjas an opening to get in or get out without being seen cause there's a big roaring fire! There were entire Ninja texts about how to use Fire, and Ninjas also got into Firearms and Explosives.

So all that said I had to make a Fire Type Pokemon Ninja and Pokemon with Yokai origins are fun to make into Ninjas. One of the most famous Yokai is the Kitsune "Fox Spirit", but I already drew Naruto as a Ninetails, I can't just do Naruto again right...?

Anyway this is Naruko the Fennekin, she is sunshine and I love her.
(Fun Fact: The name Naruko means "Roaring Light")
In Universe I imagine if Kaida was inspired by stories of a pokemon version of Luffy, then Naruko could have been inspired by stories of a pokemon version of Naruto and just happens to have a similar name or nicknamed herself after Naruto and got herself a similar outfit. She wants to be a real Ninja but most pokemon don't take her seriously like if somebody wanted to be a Lawyer cause they are a fan of Ace Attorney.
