As I swam through the sky,
In the warm caress of the sun-washed clouds,
My heart let out a silent cry
Lost, seemingly, amongst the twilight shrouds
Adrift in space and time
Such beauty in life, as in death
A word with which no other to rhyme
Seems naught but a wasted breath
Fear not, dear hope...though squandered you think you are
Ablaze through the horizon's light
Comes another cry...faintest of sounds afar
Marks the end of two souls' plight
I found finally, what I needed
All these lonely years
For what I begged, for which I pleaded
Now, before me...all so bright and clear
With you, I wish to spend my every day,
Cold winter, and velvet night
I owe to you the debt of my way
Once in valley, now upon mountain-height
Never shall our bond bend or crack
Believe my conviction as true
For I have traveled to the edge of madness and back
At long last, my love...to you.
In the warm caress of the sun-washed clouds,
My heart let out a silent cry
Lost, seemingly, amongst the twilight shrouds
Adrift in space and time
Such beauty in life, as in death
A word with which no other to rhyme
Seems naught but a wasted breath
Fear not, dear hope...though squandered you think you are
Ablaze through the horizon's light
Comes another cry...faintest of sounds afar
Marks the end of two souls' plight
I found finally, what I needed
All these lonely years
For what I begged, for which I pleaded
Now, before me...all so bright and clear
With you, I wish to spend my every day,
Cold winter, and velvet night
I owe to you the debt of my way
Once in valley, now upon mountain-height
Never shall our bond bend or crack
Believe my conviction as true
For I have traveled to the edge of madness and back
At long last, my love...to you.
