Great way to start the series, particularly how how commonly he found himself in bondage in the series, in most appealing ways.
Love your take on him, because you keep his cartoony proportions, but tweaked in such a way, he looks like he belongs on a more action-packed comic. A bit more mature, but fun and playful all the same.
I send you a big hug for doing justice to one of my favourite big guys. I will hold this one close to my heart.

WHOA! When you announced you were going to do bears, I immediately thought of Baloo, AND HERE HE IS!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
That big handsome big-bellied bear-daddy. He really should have been gagged more often in the original show, though thankfully it happened at least once ("Save the Tiger" was one of my favorite episodes for that reason as a kid, lol).

Now who's gonna save Rebecca Cunningham if she gets kidnapped by Don Carnage and the Sky Pirates (they do interrogate 🪶🦶🤣) or put in a stereotypical Hollywood damsel deathtrap by Kitten Kaboodle seeking revenge or Dr Axel seeking revenge for foiling his plans to ransom a kidnapped Shere Khan or that Fox Couple that tried to con her out of the plane or those lizard tribesmen wanting to eat her if she risks going after their truffles again or about half a dozen more enemies ... there's a lot of tying up in this show. Kit has a habit of getting captured too and Molly hasn't grown up to become Danger Woman yet so escapology probably isn't in her skills set yet.
An excellent start to the new series of bound bears with an iconic character and with Shere Khan and Don Karnage in the previous tiger and wolves series, only fitting we see another of the Tale Spin characters with Baloo.
Managing to maintain his composure, just a single drop of sweat, though perhaps a little uncertainty in his gaze. Perhaps his reckless flying style for once didn't quite pay off and in a confrontation with Don Karnage and his pirate crew he ended up in a crash landing. Now having gotten himself a little tied up and listening to Karnage's gloating, maybe Baloo would be a little nervous of what's coming next given that Karnage did have some rather inventive methods of 'torture' so he's maybe hoping rescue will come soon.
