We may come from different spiritual backgrounds, but we shouldn't become too proud of our religions, because pride creates separation.

I'd say it extends to worldviews and ideologies in general. Though it's quite difficult to apply in real life, especially if the other side is not much willing to recognize that the others can have a grain of truth in what they say, or if the (physical) realizations of two opposite wolrdviews are too contradictory. Though hopefully there is a hope for finding some common ground, after all this is the idea from which bahaism or certain jainism's doctrines have sprouted...
Personally, I would say that the words "religion/ideology" and "pride" rather shouldn't even be in one sentence. For me, one can be glad from his religious, national etc. identity, but pride is a word that implies some unjustified feeling of "superiority" in itself. Or at least it feels like that to me.
