Black Tie, Beautiful Tail
A flat, brown tail popped out, swaying up and down and showing off Jack’s furry hindquarters. Chocolate brown fur had covered his bare skin, while his new tail smacked against the back of his legs. Everyone applauded.
“Jack is a beaver at heart I see.” Diana said.
“And you’re a rodent like me.” Tom said, kissing Jack’s cheek again. Jack nodded, barely noticing any of this. His legs felt numb, as did his jaw. He looked over at Tom, who whistled. “And those teeth are beautiful.”
“What…what teeth?” Jack asked, each word whistling as he spoke. Jason grinned and stepped out of the way, allowing Jack to see his reflection in the mirror.
