Imagine my shock when I accidentally stumble across a commissioned piece for my abusive ex that looks exactly like a character who is extraordinarily important to me. While I was reeling from seeing that, it was doubled when I discovered she is now using a partial of that particular character to grift viewers on a particular website through using my trauma.
Ever since I saw that, I decided to shelve the character and distance myself from everything that not only made him who he was, but that made me who I am.
Despite it being a small gesture in the grander scheme, this updated reference of Asaan is me clawing back that ground I gave up and reclaiming a vital, important piece of who I am.
