We saw a brief glimpse of Voolvif touching the Dark Side in that moment of anger when he'd been intent on running all the way to Coruscant and given the emotional rollercoaster he's been on, he's been exposed to a maelstrom of emotions where he'd have striven in the past to always find a balance.
As we've seen with the Howling Cerberus pack, Shistavanen are passionate, feel their emotions strongly and blood does run hot, as well as being wild and playful at times. There's also the strong hunting instincts and the path could be there, and it could be a real fear perhaps for Voolvif that he could have become feral.
Given that the Galactic Empire would make use of the services of Shistavanen as scouts and bounty hunters, I imagine Palpatine would have viewed Voolvif as a valuable asset for the Inquisitors if sufficiently broken and remoulded, a literal hunting hound and attack dog, almost completely feral but retaining all his strength and mastery in the Force, or perhaps honed in a similar role to that Maul had originally served in.
Though on a lighter note, perhaps if the Howling Cerberus crew are going undercover playing the role of pirates, a shirtless Voolvif to show off the impressive scars, spiked collar and a leather harness, he could make for a rather intimidating pirate.
