In red/orange is my take on the Incom T65 X-wing as seen in New hope thru Return of the Jedi as compared to a RoTJ era B-wing by Slayn and Korpil and against my own home-brew F-14D AstroCat.
Name revision for my Tomcat came about when some lateral thought ran through my head regarding the space opera I hail from, being Yamato and their usage of Cosmos or Cosmo for nomenclature of their star-fighters, so I figured I'd go with AstroCat since I'm an American and "Muricans typically name things Astro or Astrum instead.
That said, this is an orthographic view without camera distortion to show the relative sizes and comparison between star fighters. The X-wing by Incom is known for being very compact for a multi-role starfighter, indeed smaller than a Koensayr Y-wing yet carrying nearly the same torpedo load as, and it's no surprise that S&K ASF-01 B-wing is the largest of the letter series of Rebel fighters but compared to my home-brew in the middle, all of them are TINY! xD
I've used what measurements were available on wikis and wikipedia as well, and regardless of some cosmetic differences, my AstroCat is as measurement precise as I could get it, so surprise surprise, my cat be PHAT. xD It's not until I drop other models in the same scene that I get the sense of scale between things, and for once, the X-wing is smol and kyoot.
Now as for this particular image and it's relevance, now that my tweaks are made to the X-wing, I intend to replace the more crude version in my previous post with this revision and present the updated static image to
Major Matt Mason as a gift.
And for those interested, that B-wing seen here is non-standard and is a specialized variant my SW sona upgraded to meet her needs as a Privateer before crafting up her first F-14 AstroCat, but size wise, my custom B is no different than S&K's standard model... Mine just has a different core, power bus, engines, and beam weapons.

Oh yeah, I took inspiration from McDonnell Douglas' experimental STOL super maneuverability F-15

The F-18 stabs serves as my canards, and like the factory tail of my F-14, are all moving, and yes they help a great deal in atmosphere flight, allowing it to easily out rate and one/two - circle even the Royal Guard's TIE interceptors. Hell even Vades is hard pressed to keep up. xD
Ya know what, Fox boy, I would like to see your X's when you have time! =D

Nicely done!
BTW... two people did a fanmade mods of a scaled up B-Wing and Y-Wing respectively. Take both spaceframes, scale them up so they can take up to four people snugly. Add in a very small Galley and Fresher and four bunks. Use the remaining space for big guns and engines. I think I saw them on either Artstation and/or Deviantart a year ago.
