Dr.Portal was extra smitten with this couple, which worried me. I had to get him to promise me up and down that he wouldn't introduce Elanor three sessions in. This was because I had planned an 'arc' with Rowan and Dolly in the previous campaign that was meant to take...lets say, half or more of the whole campaign to resolve. But Portal was so eager we resolved it by about session 5. I was able to pick up a new thread for inner character turmoil but it did kinda throw things off. My fault for getting him jazzed about the arc ahead of time....but I had to tell him to work it into the story.

Lucius' cool and stoic demeanor is completely and utterly disrupted whenever Elanor made her presence known at the office. He feels something for this girl he can't quantify, and it terrifies him to the bone. With every smile sent his way, every passing glance or catch of eachothers gaze from across the room he practically has a panic attack. His heart races, his cheeks grow hot, and he's filled with the conflicting urge to flee yet also to draw closer to him. He doesn't think it's love, because that's simply an impossibility. A feeling he's never felt, chalked up to nothing more than biological imperatives. So it makes it all the more of a slap to his face when after getting close to her by way of crime stories does she end up forcing his hand. After three not dates at his favorite late night diner after hours to talk shop, the waitress calls their little rendezvous for what they are. Lucius frantically denies, only for Elanor to push the subject and admitting she wants it to be a date. Lucius is confronted with his feelings, and gives into them, setting up for a real date the following evening.

This pic is the start of Elanor educating Lulu on the more 'ignored' aspects of his life, aside from romantic love itself. Couples do dance after all, but Lucius has no knowledge of how to dance, hell he doesn't even know most modern music. Luckily he's got a surprisingly well-versed teacher to guide him through. Thankfully it's all uphill from the 'stepping on your own tail phase'.
