For what is likely one of the hottest days of the year, a time for most to spend recovering in the shade and air conditioning, Suzzy welcomes the heat on her days off as the sun energizes that hefty body. The clay between her fingers form nicely under these conditions, quickly drying as she cuts it free from her wheel and putting it up on the shelf along with the rest to harden into leather, a collection of wonderful shapes and curves that flow from one sculpture to the next.
The quiet whirring of the spin table is the only thing that fills the air, along with the occasional creak of the window from the wind and chatter from passing neighbors. The leaves and flowers that decorate her space makes the air crisp and scented, being able to taste it on her tongue with every flicker. Those piercing eyes need all the concentration they can get to make perfect of her creations, studying every angle and feeling for the thickness of the vases to ensure their quality. Tapering the edge of the lip and skimming its base, she cuts the bottom with a wire to complete her craft, one of the dozen she had already made that day with more ideas waiting patiently for the day after.
A couple wipes of her hands on her apron, she sets aside her collection to dry out, the air smelling of clay by this point as she pops open her window and let's the afternoon breeze hit her, looking out to the beach calling to her as she questions how to spend the rest of her quiet weekend~
