Well with the interior of it showing. This is just after I unpacked it all the first time and laid it out to try and get some of the excessive amount of oil off of it before putting on a lighter coat. But traveling all the way from Pakistan I'm glad they put a lot on to make sure it would make the trip. The interior as you can see as a, relatively, thin black paint/lacqur layer to protect it and as you saw in the main Grizzle picture its shiny steel on the outside. For all the shiny steel purposes!
Going left to right starting with the upper layer we have one of the shoulders. These attach to the gorget, the next item, by straps and then hang from my shoulder to a few inches above my elbow where they strap around my arm. Held there very snug. It unfortunately means they cant be worn without the gorget but so far that has not proven to be an issue. Next is the gorget which goes around my neck and clips together to be nice and secure. As said both shoulders attach to this. Next are the two forearms that strap around my forearms. Belting into place around the bandage layers I made to try and make it seem more like the Grizzle artwork. To the right of those are one of the tassets. These hang off the belt, which you can see rolled up bottom left, to protect my thighs. I tried to wear them with the belt I normally use to hold my Amtgard stuff but they pull the belt down slowly. The new belt is much thicker so would hold them up better but a good chunk of my things wont fit. Things to consider! Finally on the top row are both shin guards that also attach around the Grizzle bandages. These need to be pretty darn tight to not slide down and tend to dig into the top of my feet a bit. Something else to work on.
Finally there's the cuirass laid out. Its currently upside down for how you would wear it so the flatter side is around your waist and the curved side is up by your arms. This gives you good side and front protection while also giving a lot of good arm movement! This has no issue and the straps hold it nice and secure. To the left is the mentioned belt. And the right is the second tasset and shoulder. Overall and so far I am very pleased with this and look forward to wearing it more often once I work out a few kinks and get some more practice in :)
For this curious this is the armor I purchased;
