ive been creatively drained as of recent. what i miss most about my "old world of artwork" was the [mental] freedom, where i could draw whatever i wanted, when i wanted, and however i wanted.

and not feeling so self-conscious about it.

im trying to get back into that mindset. i dont want to be a sellout. i enjoy drawing what people ask of me. i love giving art back, but sometimes, i just dont have the UMPH to draw it and then i get kinda depressed :/

welp, to get myself started on this new journey, i decided to draw up some fanart for someone i have never drawn for before.  surlyqueen's character, PoJo, from her webcomic On The Couch. i met Surly at Momo (i think?) last year or so and picked up a free mini comic/ad for her site. i'll admit, i didnt check it out for a few months (mainly cuz i was heavily following other interests).

one night i glanced at the mini comic on my desk and was curious to see what that site was all about. i started reading her On The Couch comic and found it very humorous (and eerily similar to my daydreams 8'D ). then i moved on to her Life On A Stick comics...i spent a good hour reading all the strips she had up so far and laughed my arse off X'D

needless to say, she makes some perdy darn entertaining comics and characters. you should check her out. like. now.
