I just posted Standing Out that I worked on tonight at FCN.

I thought I would share an inbetween.

What happened was I was looking at the picture and I like the suiters but I hated the background. I really wanted to "pop" them out. So I was playing around with basic stylizing filters. My idea was to make the background more cartoony so I could then pull them out making them look more real and pop to the viewer.

So I reworked the picture and simplified it to I got this. After I got this I used it as a layer and put a mask on pulling out the original picture. After a few (okay a lot more tweaks) to the foreground character and basically re-touching up the colors on the picture background I got what I posted above.


Just had to show this inbetween because I just really like it for some reason.
