Grumpy and lumpy!

I wonder if badgers are one of your favorites, then again I don't know why I ask that since I've not seen a whole lot of other badgers in your gallery at all!
Well...besides me! Since Typhs are based on badgers.

Badgers, hm. Truth be told, I know only a few badger characters like Friar Tuck from Disney´s Robin Hood, the grumpy badger from Disney´s Fox and the Hound, the old badger from Animals of Farthing Wood, master Badger from Master Badger and his friends and probably Obstagoon from Pokemon.

I found every single one of those characters except for Master Badger. That may be something I can't find since it's likely in another language! Either that or I am not adding something important like a year or something else! I'd love to see those characters be tied up by you!

Badgers are just as iconic because they represent wisdom! Well, sometimes they represent wisdom, sometimes they represent grumpiness. -v-

The title of the movie was "Once upon a Forest" from 1993 and the badger character´s name was Cornelius. I haven´t known, that the movie´s title in german was changed so much.

Easily know that character very well since I use to watch the VHS tape of it alot! His black colors had tinges of blue in it!

I have no idea why they would change the title so much, it seems harmless to me! It's simple and effective! But maybe there's something by the exact same title already existing before it was released there.

The original english title would be translated as "Es war einmal im Wald", while the german title would be retranslated "Mastar Badger and his friends".
This maybe is a sad tradition over here in Europe, that publishers and and tv channel managers still think, that if something is animated, it must be for kids.

It sounds like whenever they did that, they did not like...watch any of the film whatsoever, they saw the beginning and that was all they needed. Which is weird because Cornelius was featured comparatively little when it comes to the children. He was in the beginning and he was nearing the end.

If he is a fire-breathing dragon, then the plot about him angry about his firefighting son is very playful and fun indeed.

That exactly is the core irony in the show, although it is much more lighthearted. For Grisu wants to become a firefighter, but ends up in some other job in each episode, like postman, secretary etc and he does his job very good, but at the end there allways is something going to happen, that makes Grisu embarassed or sheepish and when this happens, he starts to breath fire without wanting it. And so he loses his job and then he pursues his original wish anew to become a fire fighter.

Yes. One is tempted to poke him, while he is helplessly bound and gagged.
