Story:
Baking cookies can be a fun thing to do, which was something the robo-moth Peppermint was learning today! The machine was teaching herself how to cook, but there was a lack of dough in the pantry. Instead of running out to get more, she used Jam's "Dough-ification" beam on the monkey in order to make him into cooking dough! She did this as she thought it'd be fun to involve her dad in the baking process, even if it was in an unconventional way! After beating and battering the monkey dough, she placed him in the oven to bake. With Christmas season soon upon them, Peppermint knew she had to celebrate it with some gingerbread cookies!
Jam spent several minutes in the oven, which caused the dough comprising his current form to harden! Once the oven was done, it made a "DING!" sound and Peppermint happily marched over to it on her robotic bug feet. She put on oven mitts over her insectoid hands and opened the oven, before pulling out the tray with various gingerbread men on it! In the middle was her dad, now just a cookie! His skin and fur had become sugar-infused icing, while his lab-coat was now made out of white chocolate.
Once out of the oven, Jam quickly gained awareness of the world around him and the fact he was now just a cookie! He looked at Peppermint through his big chocolate eyes. He then began to speak, the chocolate chips that formed his mouth being the only part of him that could still move, "Peppermint, what the hell?!"
She picked up her cookie-fied dad by his stubby sugary arms and held the tiny cookie in front of the digital display that made up her face, "Relax, dad, it's only for a bit! And might I say, you make a tasty-looking cookie!"
"You better change me back before someone tries to eat me! I've got tons of body-swapping to do this holiday season, and I'd prefer to not get eaten before I can do any of that."
"Calm down, dad, you've been weirder stuff before!"
Just then, the anthropomorphic pony Science Saddles trotted into the room, drawn by the scent of delicious baked treats filtering in through her wide equine nostrils. The normally serious Saddles had a weakness for sweets, one of the few times her deadpan nature melted away, "Are those cookies I smell?!"
Saddles nodded while holding up the Jam cookie, "Yep, you can have any of them except for the one I'm holding! This one is Jam."
She gazed at the cookie as she adjusted her glasses, "Really? You agreed to be turned into a cookie, Jam?"
The monkey cookie grumbled, "Of course not! Peppermint zapped me while I wasn't looking."
She tapped her finger against her chin, "I see, so my beloved niece used that 'Dough-ification' ray! The effects should wear off in no time, but we should put Jam somewhere so he doesn't get eaten..."
Peppermint nodded as she grabbed something from the corner of the kitchen and brought it back. She took the white sheet covering it off, revealing it to be a gingerbread house, "If we put dad here, everyone will think he's just part of the display and not eat him!"
Jam sighed, "Couldn't I just tell them I'm not a cookie?"
"You could, but we have to be careful in case your mouth freezes like the rest of your body!" Peppermint said with a wink.
"What do you mea- MMFF!" Jam's mouth then closed on its own, freezing into a perma-frown.
Peppermint giggled as she slid Jam into the display, propping him up near the gingerbread house and placing it back where she put it, "That's what I mean! I'll just leave you here until you change back!"
Peppermint then walked away, leaving the monkey-cookie near the display! While Saddles enjoyed the cookies as Peppermint watched on, Jam slowly transformed back into a full monkey! Once he was back to normal, his full sized monkey body accidentally crushed the gingerbread head. Once a fully mobile monkey again he reached down and took a bite of the gingerbread house. After munching and swallowing, he spoke aloud his thoughts: "Huh, so that's what I taste like."
