And I absolutely HATE it when the do this!! You think they're dead and you go to clean them up BUT NO. You tap them and they FLAIL EVERYWHERE!! *shutter shutter*

This happened when I stayed at my grandma's house in Las Vegas...x.x they have wild flying cockroaches that come in the house sometimes...I found one I thought was dead on the floor, then it started flailing like that...I picked it up in some toiletpaper and flushed the little demon...AND IT SWAM BACK!!!! O.O

when we were kids my friend kicked what he thought was a dead cockroach it was on its back and not moving, he kicked like you would kick a field goal against a black wall.
this little bastard hit the "wall" and landed on its legs and I could swear it was just staring at us then the little creeper began to scurry at me and my friend......then the "wall" began to move....
and more of his bros were comin after us......well I think we broke the land speed record for most frightened six year olds......it was straight out of a horror movie except for one thing...my friend when her ran.....held his arms out above his head a screamed like Gossamer from Lonney Toons when Bugs tells him he is being watched like this

When I was in Phoenix Arizona we had cockroaches about two to four times the size of my thumb. We gave up on trying to kill 'em and would just catch them, and throw them into the pool to drown.
And where I was in Cali (right on the northern edge of the Joshua Tree Nat'l Park) we had beetles the size of my clenched fist. Dunno what they were actually called, but we called them B-52 Beetles because they were the same size, and made the same noise as a B-52 when in flight.
