Spring 19, Year 1

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice. As you've all been made aware of, a peryton has claimed this part of the valley as it's territory. Much further from the natural habitat of its species. The initial alert was brought to my attention by the Mayor. Some teens noticed a 'Weird Ass Deer' lingering around the abandoned farm on the West side of town. After checking it out, the local wizard and I have determined it's of minimal-to-no threat to the local townsfolk.

"While members of the Guild and those trained in magic will be able to easily identify the true nature of this beast, the townsfolk simply believe it to be a strange-looking deer unafraid of people. As the peryton has shown no indication of aggression, I see no reason to alarm them. I will be keeping a close eye, and take full responsibility should anything happen. With that in mind, should you spot it, or other strange happenings, on your patrols, please inform me on your return. Thank you."

(Honestly the sole point of this dialogue is to show the reason the MONSTER HUNTING Adventurer Guild hasn't done something about a literal monster wandering into town. In actuality, this is the day my Farmer joined the Guild. I twist things to how they fit the AU.)

Things different from canon; (AU???)
- Gramps never had an heir, or they never show/ed up.
- Special new farm map; Frontier Farm!
- Stardew Valley Expanded; new maps, new NPCs, new events, a LOT of new stuff.
- The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.

This is my first time playing Stardew Valley Expanded, so I’m learning as I go. (Please no spoilers if you play SVE)
