Submission for this week's  Thursday_Prompt revised per some of  Lu-Man suggestions

This story part of a cycle of stories that revolves around how regular people deal with the End of the World. It's still under construction right now, (this is only the second one I've finished) but I thought I'd post because it fit the prompt and I felt bad for not getting last week's story done in time.
(Btw, an asteroid's going to destroy the world. A little tropey, but eh.)
