It's not exactly like this. It's Iran that I'm worried about. You see, I live in a country that pretty close to it (one of the GCC countries. I leave it to you to guess), and they have already siezed 3 islands of ours. If we try to retake them, they'll throw their nukes at us, and they have threatened us with a military assault cuz we're housing US bases on our lands that are ready to fight in case Iran struck.

You seem to have missed my point, by using the bombs he ensured a quick end to the war, had it continued millions more may have died. alternatively, by using the bombs he proved how terrible they were, and allowed other countries to realize that their use was very bad idea which has stopped all those other countries from using them...
Yes, but the deaths that were a direct result of those bombings accounted for less than 1% of the total deaths of World War Two, without the bombs millions of additional Japanese and American Soldiers would have been killed, and for that matter, if we had made it all the way across the pacific into Japan whose to say that even more Japanese civilians wouldn't have been killed?
