First I just want to say a quick apology for not having posted for several days. Now let's move onto the discussion of this piece. This is actually a pretty important character to me which is why I spent a little bit longer on this piece then normal, to ensure I really got this piece down looking good. Essentially my big ambition in life is to one day produce a comic book series and this character is one of my planned main characters for that series so I really wanted to make sure I had a definitive design for her and that I conveyed that design well. This piece continues my trend of trying to use as few lines as possible, aside from the character outline, to convey the character and I think I'm starting to improve in that regards. There's no lines for any of the ear tufts or for the hair curls that block her ears, or the fur tufts around the necklace or on her chest. Now I do think I could have done a better job and gotten rid of more lines so I will have to try to be more conscience of that next time. The shading on this piece is fairly alright, nothing too crazy there isn't super powerful lighting so I didn't need to do anything like a rimlight, although now that I look I notice I did forget some of the deeper shade tones and the usual highlight I put on the eyelids. The character design itself I'm realy happy with, with this particular character I've struggled for years to figure out what I wanted to do with her hair and then it struck me to try something akin to griffith from berserk. So her hair is loosely based off griffiths hair but obviously theres still plenty of difference between her hair and griffiths. On the dynamic side I'm actually really pleased I managed to get it to appear like she had dodged the arrow. There isn't too much to say on this piece though, I refined the hair a bit more I guess but thats about it for now.
Thank you for viewing my art
Have a wonderful day/night
