Brace yourselves, we are going full copper age / early bronze age today!
It seems this random Cave Lion dude is getting ready for some trouble ahead. Judging by his weapons and the scars covering his body, this is not his first rodeo. He'll most likely be fine. :P
For a while I've been wanting to work on a separate setting than my usual, based on the Mediterranean in the early bronze age and featuring only anthro animals of all kinds. I don't plan on making any serious project with it, just art for funsies. Who knows, maybe this drawing might be the first in this new world!

Okay I went and got my Mother's input on this because she know these things more than I do.
The story she referenced to me is the one of both Joseph and Elijah. Like not just one or the other but somewhere both.
But also Considering the title suggesting he lives in a cave (which she didn't see)... yeah I could see that a little

Yeah same here, so I went to the only person I know that is practicing.
They're interesting stories just on a stories sake, even removing the religious side out of it.
We have one getting thrown into a pit by his brothers and sold to slavery, only to save all of Egypt through interpretations of people's dreams becoming basically second in command of all of Egypt.
The other one we have someone saying "Screw you, my god is real" and burning a religious alter just by standing there in front of the queen, which caused them to go in hiding in a cave where birds single-handedly kept the dude alive by bring him food.

interesting details about him. :) great pose, too. ^^
I read an article a while ago about new details about cave lions. seems they found some dead ones which were caught in permafrost up there in siberia, and they indeed had no manes. also, fur colours seemed to range from white to brown and tan into black. looks like everything is possible there. :)
hmm, more prehysteric animal people? maybe some saturday sabertooths? ;)

Maybe it's just my interpretation of things, but I didn't have that pegged as an atlatl until I'd read the tags. My thought was that he had some sort of adze, or a stylised war club.
Here's hoping we see more primitive-themed art! Maybe even before this time period, seeing your take on flint-knapping and bison hunts could be neat. :P
