Ive been wanting to do more modeling but could never bring myself round to going into a shop and buying some plastercine / modeling stuff cos all the shops i go to have them in little kiddy boxes and id feel slightly embarassed ^^;

After my Maths exam on Monday i went to Woolworths and looked about, i was stuck between a 24 pieces kids modeling dough set for £9.99, or getting afew packs of FIMO for 2.99 each (four small blocks of FIMO and instructions on how to make some things), so i went with the FIMO cos ive never played with that before and spent around £15 on 5.

For those of you who dont know what FIMO is, its like plastercine, but doesnt dry out (from what ive read) and can be oven baked so that your finished creation isnt damagable (within reason) and is preservered for ever ^^

I started messing about with it today and was going to play about, making small items, then go onto my main project, but i decided "nuts to this" and went head first into the project.

THE PROJECT - make a FIMO model of my fursona, Rusty, using a 20cm (roughly) tall manikin as a base to work from.

This is what ive done so far and im soooo happy about it. Getting the right amount of FIMO for the parts is hard but i managed, my favorite pieces are the ears cos theyre cute, the muzzle wasnt too hard to do.

Gonna do some more later and maybe some more before my English exam on Thursday afternoon. Hope you guys like it ^w^
