Very sensitive treatment, I thought ... covers the plot (incl. the tail, always thought that was glaringly obvious detraction/problem) but isn't maudlin. Will be nice to see where the partnership takes them...

As crazy as life has been I had several starts and stops with this - not of my own choosing. You really are putting this together well Wire... I have enjoyed it from the first.

Oh yes... thought of you last night - watched 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' with my daughter and the young fellow in it also did Hiccup's voice.

Would you believe I'm still building this? Even with 7 chapters behind me, I'm still just laying groundwork. There are hints, to be sure, but I haven't actually started the real, full story. This thing is going to be a monster before it's done.

Not that I'm complaining.

The movie people are working on the sequel right now. I'm hoping I can get mine done before the animated TV show comes out next year. I don't want to have to compete with that. Actually, I don't want to have to compete with either, but the movie sequel is slated for a 4 year production schedule, so I should be safe there.

The answer is, no. I have no plans to do anything with it when it's done. Except move on to my mountain of unfinished stories and other projects.

Star Trek and Star Wars had all sorts of fan fics... but in your case it's just plain good...
