Ocellus the changeling, woke up in a place as strange as it was inhospitable to her eyes, clear and firm as her ideas, she could not identify where she was.
“But...where is everyone?”
She asked herself, while in an attempt to explore the fringes of what was possible.
She stood up noticing the moment where it felt strange to breathe, it was nothing new when it happened when she had different shapes, but it did not represent as many difficulties as now, as if it was a little difficult for oxygen to enter her lungs. Going from lying down to standing involved noticing certain changes in where she was. Each time it was difficult to do it but each time she did it, she could try to get used to it. As the minutes passed for her, her lungs feeling relieved she was able to walk, and as she took her first steps, she noticed that the ground is much softer like a sheet but touching directly with the floor.
With the strange combination of perfect softness and a hard, shocking floor. Ocellus walked around noticing something. Each step she took was only stranger as she realized that in her dragon form, having more perception of the ground in the soles of her feet coupled in perfect symphony, they noticed how strange the floor was at times, there was part where it was hard or similar. to a rock, even if the soles of her feet are technically almost as hard as a rock being covered in scales since she is a dragon at the moment, others were soft and pleasant to the touch, softer, more fragile and finer than stepping on. sand or gravel, or wet mud. It can be said that the simple act of stepping on the ground relaxed her and was a quite pleasant sensation. However, that didn't make her feel any calmer.
The fact that she is in an unknown place and with no reference points in sight makes her quite nervous.
Every thought in these moments for her was simple or at least the most calming to avoid feeling anxiety or lack of control in herself, she always remembered that calm was above all so she could think in peace.
"Where am I?"
Her first question was to herself the beginning of several hours as she walked through the strangest world she had ever been in, her steps marked on each one with such finality to leave a good mark of her for millennia or even geological eras. whole in the future.
“What is this place?”
Her eyes looked everywhere as if the answer would appear. Each step stood out more in the ground accompanied by a rumbling and vibrant sound and her confused look slowly turned into one of concern, perhaps manageable but for the moment, not so convinced of herself.
“Why am I a dragon?...and why can't I turn back to my normal form?!!"
Very good question. Since she woke up, Ocellus has been in her dragon form at all times, she cannot change to his original form or another form, it is as if her characteristic ability that gives her race its name has faded.
Those last two questions she asked lay deep in her head, like a resounding echo in the fog of uncertainty. That's when she stopped and looked at her dragon hands. Brown and extended, she looked at them and that was when her mind connected two pieces, as if in the form of a memory her hands were surrounded by two hands. Apparently very different from hers. As a color, a flesh color. But not red but white. She wrapped them around and looked up. A figure seemed to hold them and then disappear. Ocellus felt like she saw that before and lived it, as if that thing that held her hands was a very important living being for her. It was when in notable confusion, looking at her claws, she noticed something peculiar on the ground.
Very fluffy little white beings were barely visible, but with the sense of sight so developed this was not so much of a problem. And then one of those, when it touched her foot, disintegrated. As if it were a cloud.
“Cloud…world…human…message…portal…spell.”
Her mind clicked. So strong that her wandering mind came undone. So deep did the echo fall that her gaze noticed something gray at the end of the tip of her left toe. With doubt and fear she looked, crouching lower and lower, feeling everything soft and hard on the ground so strange as she moved, and with her eye on everything she could see, she was able to see something unheard of. Millions of miniature human beings ran from her or what she could see because she couldn't listen even if she had sharp hearing. And the moment she found out, her time stopped and her whole world in her and her being broke into a dry brittle inside her.
The realization that she has been responsible for eliminating the dreams, longings and aspirations of billions of harmless, innocent little creatures unable to defend themselves or do anything about it against a gigantic creature whose hard, scaly feet have extinguished the flame of life. of so many humans, common people, children, women and the elderly, all of them saw their end under the shadow of a brown dragon, under an immense and imposing sole from which they had no escape.
The fact that she, whose size and beauty made her look like a goddess, has not noticed them, and of which numerous religions have possibly been created around her figure, is irrefutable proof of how insignificant the human and terrestrial life in general. The fragility and delicacy of life has been demonstrated by this devastating event of apocalyptic proportions.
A tear came out of Ocellus' right eye as a feeling of horror about herself covered her completely.
She doesn't want to take her foot off the ground. She doesn't want to move anymore.
END.
