It's ironic how being sick can inspire you to make personal art, huh?
Drawn after coming into close contact with Red-Breasted Nuthatches, though I assure you they weren't this close exactly! XD They are so awesome.
I know that Rah-Bop has drawn something similar, but I don't care - I came to this idea on my own.
I think I failed at conveying surprise, shock, and glee all in the same expression, but it's close at least. ;p
Drawn in a half-hour to an hour, I think, with .05 mechanical pencil, 2B lead.

It's possibly more related to the fact that I had so much time where all I could do was lie down with a notebook, but I was able to get a fair amount of work done on some personal poems while I was recovering from my surgery. In general, though, being sick kind of alters one's routine, and shaking things up like that can probably do some good in terms of inspiration.
Out of curiosity, how far away was the nuthatch that inspired this piece, since it apparently wasn't quite on your face?
