And concerning your argument, I would like to bring something to the table. Although these leftists are insufferable and want us dead, let us not forget what Jesus has said in Mathew 5:44-47.

Jesus wasn't making a suggestion, he was giving an order. Does this mean we let these people walk all over us? I don't think so. We correct them, and if they don't want to hear it, we set boundaries, whether it be personal boundaries or legal boundaries, depending on the situation. For example, if someone attacks you, you sue them for assault, I would consider that a legal boundary, unless you are doing it just to get back at them, in which case it is vengeance.

And since you talk about how God will spew out lukewarm Christians, isn't loving your neighbor and hating your enemy being a lukewarm Christian, since even the tax collectors did that? I would consider loving your enemies and praying for those who persecute you to be beyond the call of duty.

And think about this: Bill Gates is certainly not going to Heaven because he currently doesn't believe that God exists, therefore he doesn't accept Jesus as his lord and savior. But he is also incredibly knowledgeable and wealthy. Wouldn't it be better if he, by nothing short of a miracle, came to know Christ and accepted him as his lord and savior, and, as a result, was transformed, using his wealth and knowledge, not for selfish gains but to do works that help people and are pleasing unto the Lord, instead of him just dying and all of that wealth and knowledge going to waste?

I believe that Jesus didn't tell us to pray for our enemies for no reason. I believe he told us to pray for our enemies because when we do, he can touch those people's hearts so that they may come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 says: "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
