Well, you know what they say, "Don't get close to your idols, they'll disappoint you." Okay, okay, I know that's not 100% fits the situation, but still. Plus, that mutt doesn't even know half of what his commander went through. It seems like everything he "KNOWS" is based on wild, offensive, and purely made-up rumors. That dragon saved Gervic from death, both physical and mental, and their rapprochement was more than expected and predictable, considering all the factors...... WHAT? Don't look at me like that, you know I'm right.
Yeah, you're absolutely right. Zaer only knows what happened before he was sent home. During the battle for the castle, he didn't even think Gerv was happy and tried to bring his friend at homeland by force. In this case, he's doing the exact same thing. I understand he was worried about Gervic, but he should have checked the facts first before throwing accusations at his superior. Zaer, even though Vlagg and Gervic love each other, is angry and abusive. But what's the reason? Is it jealousy? Perhaps. Disappointment over the collapse of illusions? Definitely. But Gerv had tried to explain it to his friend both during the battle for his husband's castle and now. But this wolf's stubbornness has ruined everything. He could have overcome his pride and simply accepted his friend's choice.
Why? People move, learn, grow, change. Gaining new experience and knowledge, we allow them to change us little by little. Zaer considers all dragons enemies of his kind, until he saw the love of these two for each other. IT IS UNLIKELY THE ONLY CASE IN THE HISTORY OF THIS WORLD. See where I'm going? Who knows what will happen to him in the future, what he will see, what he will learn, hell, he may even become gay one day. If he does not understand and accept it now, nothing prevents him from starting it 10 years later. Of course, unless the author decides to cast a"Death Mark" on him, then that's it. Buddy, please don't be a BRICK WALL.
Again, he’s just disappointed . Hes lost everyone (at this point)
Also his time in. Bobs imprisonment is traumatising( gervic has trauma too no lies there)
And yeah. I wish he would have accepted, but honestly this is expected this is way too much for him to accept . He can’t understand why gervic did this (in the moment) , I’m not here to say that Vlagg , gervic or zaer is in the wrong. But it’s not cut and dry .

What's true is true, this novel is full of ambiguities. For example, Bob is understandable because he lost his friends, but that is no excuse for what he did to Gervic and his soldiers. Same with Zudrec: yes, he lost Coby, but it wasn't Gerv's fault, after all, they both didn't know that Gharn had survived after the wolves tried to kill him, and his appearance near Vlagg's castle was unexpected. To summarize, there is no clear division into black and white, and we have a lot to speculate about.
That's right, and he tells Gerv himself that he should have punished Bob more seriously than just denying him the use of the lab. But what's done is done, and they can't turn back the clock. Although, if it weren't for that, our wolf and dragon wouldn't be a couple. So Bob helped them, even if he didn't mean to do it in the first place. I hope we can discuss more of this author's many novels in the future.
