I read the title, and imagined an Absol who was thrilled by the idea of being captured by a trainer. But now, he's super confused, because he thought Pokemon were supposed to be captured using pokeballs, and doesn't understand what's happening.

Umm, that is also the amazing idea!
And almost all pokemons will be confused if that happens, haha.

I love the situation the physical restraint before the pokeball. They can't avoid it for any chance.
Or perhaps the kind trainer just want to their affinity before using pokeball and release him when it seems not to go well.
