After much delay I finally did a work around on the Gori and Spectreman pic - sadly I wanted to have Karas in that costume from Ep.3, but after been pushed back taking the commissions last time, the Comic work and the recent events, I decided to go with a basic pic on this one.
Dr. Gori was a Mad Scientist and the principle Antagonist of the Spectreman TV series; An Ape like alien from the Planet E, he was once that world's foremost scientist, actually chosen by his people to lead them, however, this change when they found out of his true nature; A mutant driven by ideals of Megalomania, Gori view the advance peaceful technological state of his people as wasteful, and sought to radically change their ways with weapons development and hostile take over of other worlds.
This collided with the ways of peace "E" Society was predicated upon, including not believing in the death Penalty. Gori was detained and schedule for Reprogramming, but was freed from his Prison by a Soldier, Karas/Ra, and the two stole a ship, traveling the cosmos for years until been swept away by a Magnetic Storm led them to Earth.
While Gori became infatuated with the planet for its natural Beauty, he view it possessing a fatal disease plaguing it; Humanity and its pollution.
Driven by a very skew Moralist compass, Gori uses the full potential of his scientific genius to get rid of Humanity and its pollution by (quite contradictory) making use of pollution various mutants, cyborgs and hybrids. Though he will kidnap some Humans and turn them into Ape Servants that work in his secret base, transform some into either Monsters or Biological Weapons; however, later in the series he is force to Ally with other Aliens to achieve his plans. He shows no empathy or concern for Humans and sees no interest to neither contact them or try to use his Genius to help humanity to abandon their destructive ways; Indeed, in his malice, he laughs at the destruction he brings on humankind. Despite his Genius, Gori was too Arrogant, unable to see the error of his ways or incapable of changing, specially has his plans kept been derail by Spectreman and/or the Pollution Squad and blaming other (specially Ra/Karas) for the failures.
However, in the veil of his own evil, Gori seems to find true value in Karas' companionship, despite the latter's bumbling ways; it was Karas' who save Gori from been reprogram and perhaps in gratitude more than once saved Karas; sending one of his Monster's to its death, helping his Lieutenant escape and nearly coming to kill Alien Genos for killing Karas, only for the latter to revive him moments later and perhaps most surprisingly trading Karas' safe return for the Monster Transformation Machine. Gori would never reciprocate these feelings to any of his Alien Allies, seeing them more than tools to his own mean, but with Karas he found true friendship.
It would not be until the final episode Gori would open up to Karas and the value he has been on this en devour when he volunteer to be enhanced by the Powers of the Deceitman when all had been lost. Sadly in the end, Karas would too fall to the hand of Spectreman and having lost his one true friend, Gori would take up his own life, despite Spectreman's pleads to use his Genius for real good.
Through the show, Gori has two Spaceships; The first one he come to Earth with, was standard generic disk Flying Saucer with a dome on top and four smaller one ones in the bottom; This vessel was destroy in Episode 43. The second ship, which appears from Ep.39, is more elaborate in design, resembling a chandelier, with a red cone on the top and five extensions to its hull, with a yellow cone each hanging on the bottom. He also had various secret bases across the country for him and his Alien allies, but the main one, seen been build in Episode 3, was subsequently destroy in Ep 37, when the Pollution Squad set explosives across the facility. He was seeing sporting a Ray Gun, but rarely use it, if ever.
Gori would rarely be out on the field himself, leaving those tasks to Karas, and often operated the mission from his Command Center in his ships.
