In the beta version of the game, there was a whole foot domination mechanic based around these guys: Players originally had to avoid being forced to put man-serpent feet in their mouths, lest it count up the secret submission counter. The higher the counter, the higher chance you'd "submit" and lose all your souls and respawn at a bonfire.
