that was.... actually a lot easier to learn than I thought. O_<;
Okay. So this summer I intend to learn to speak, read and write Japanese (And intend to do it correctly and not sound like I picked everything I know up from Anime, like SOME people >_<) Learning Japanese from Anime is like learning Spanish from Cheech and Chong movies... Not a good idea.
First thing I learned is that Japanese and their vowels are SO much simpler. In English, "A", "E", "I", "O", and "U" and be pronounced in three to four different ways depending on it's placement in a word.. In Japanese? Nope.. a vowel has one sound and one sound only, no matter where it falls in a word.
"A" is spoken 'ah' as in Car
"I" is spoken 'ee' as in Tree
"U" is spoken 'oo' as in Blue
"E" is spoken 'eh' as in Get
"O" is spoken 'oh' as in Go
No 'if's 'and's or 'but's about it.
If you take the Romanasized word "Kai" the vowels dont squish together to make a new sound. They become their own syllable. Instead of saying "Kai" to sound like "Sky" is it said "Ka" "I" which sounds like "Kah-ee"
Anyway! >_<
Enjoy! I know my Hiragana is sloppy, but hey, I think it looks pretty good for a first attempt.
Will be moved to scraps later
