About three left, my dear Caliburn.



This was old sketch from a few years ago. I am pretty sure there are inaccuracies with this, but I just redid the outlines and didn't bother to use reference. I don't really like birds (thanks siblings), but I do love Caliburn from the Wizards of Once book series. (He is old and a nervous wreck, always stressed out, I love it. I just want to hold him and kiss him on the top of his beak and forehead.) He reminds me of The Windwalker from the How to Train Your Dragon books series, but their ages are polar opposites. I just really love those worried, nervous types. (The books are written by the same author, so you can see the similarities between a lot of the characters in both series.)

I would love to draw more Caliburn some day (in more spicy situations. I thought about adding a cloaca to him here, but it didn't really add anything to the image. Besides, he is cute nonetheless), but I don't see myself drawing him again in the foreseeable future because I feel like I don't do him justice at all. I think I might start working on the How to Train Your Dragon dragons that I have always wanted to draw. No guarantee on that, even though I reeeeally really want to.
