Shaded areas are part of the Exo-Muscle Suit (EMS), most white is semi-rigid plates for added protection; on his back is a personal shield device; on his back because shooting out of a ReKEn shield causes the bullets to have random and unhelpful trajectories; It's lighter and more compact than rigid plates would be.

Also, getting fairly competant at drawing masculine males, I think.
