With that we end our epic adventure by solving one of The Lost Frontier's biggest mistery!
As much as I think all these comics were dumb to do, I had to find a way to vent my frustrations with this game, and making fun of it made me feel so much better : )
So it was worth it in the end.

Então valeu a pena no final.

Do you know that the story used to be better? Though a little unfinished, Naughty Dog's first draft written around 2006-7 was more up to standard, and that included better dialog too. Then Sony outsourced the game to High Impact (or as I like to call them The Mediocre Company), who then were charged the the monumental task of finishing the final (for some time) Jak game. They changed "a few things", rewrote half of the dialog, added Dark Daxter™, etc. Lost Frontier is someone else's project finished by the people who never made a great game, and never wrote a great story.
Yeah I know the game started by Naughty Dog (there's some pre-production animations on youtube and you can see even in those the quality is much better lol and Jak seems to have his old VA)
some ideas, like the Eco ending and the pirates were made by them, but when they started doing new projects for PS3 they needed all the help so the team abandoned and gave it to High Impact, there they did the changes and included Dark Daxter etc etc.
I still wonder what could have been if it was finished by Naughty Dog, and also if it didn't start as a PSP game, I've seen people say the game is impressive for it? But I feel it was held back because of the PSP controls...and I think Daxter game was much better handled for it.

Daxter is a small character who, at the end of the day, is NOT the big hero like Jak. He cannot do too many things, so he does not need a lot of moves. That is why the limitations of the PSP was actually okay, and the gameplay could be simpler.
It would be possible to move over most, if not all Jak's movements to the PSP, I spent time brainstorming the various button uses and combinations. The easiest solution would be to use START to roll and crouch, if Sony even allows that. But other control schemes are also possible.

Yeah, the Daxter game knew its limitations (and the character) and knew how to use it, while Lost Frontier tried to be a bigger game but couldn't be that.
There is some interesting ideas, but badly executed.
Even if the game was "better" gameplay wise, the story would definitely ruin it for me, that would also need a huge re-write.

I think (and at least 1 other person agrees) some lines were carryovers from the original script:
Dark Eco sage: "We..... have a secret weapon! A warrior, who proves Dark Eco can be controlled..... or at least managed."
Daxter: "Hey! What about me?"
Sage: "Oh, you're are a certified crazy monster! Buuuuut perhaps one day we will figure out how to help you out too, son."
