The Necronomicon of the Fallen is an ancient and terrifying artifact, as mysterious as the night itself, which has baffled the imaginations of wizards and sorcerers for centuries, luring them into its webs. According to legends, he always appears unexpectedly, among desert ruins and fields, where the earth still retains traces of recent battles.
At first, the artifact manifests itself in a friendly way: it answers questions, prompts in difficult situations and even offers support. Using small spells, the wizard gradually imbues the book with strength and life, reminding him of the times when the artifact was actively used for magic.
More powerful spells require integration with the artifact, turning the Necronomicon into a mage's mask and merging with it. It becomes like a shadow enveloping his face and hands, and at the end it falls to his feet. Each new sorcery leaves thin black marks on the wearer's skin that heal over time. This process is necessary for casting spells that require additional components that are not always available in the sorcerer.
With each new complex interaction, the book becomes more open, discussing new spells and improving old ones, and can be suspicious of the mage's allies.
Over time, the Necronomicon absorbs more and more, growing, completely inhabiting the mage's body, blackening his limbs and isolating the bearer from the world. The book can no longer be removed from the carrier. He begins to use the body without his consent, turning the mage into a free-willed shell puppet for his purposes.
The finale of this cycle is inevitable: the most powerful and dangerous spells lead to the destruction of everything around the Necronomicon, including his new body. In this burning, the book falls into hibernation and recovers its strength for centuries. How long this dream will last and for what purpose the book seeks its own destruction remains unknown.
