I do love a lady in a striped sweater.
I needed a break from a longer art project I've been working on, so I inked this little lady. Thought I'd try a different technique.

Well, new for me. All of the color in the sweater is from an overlayed, tinted, photograph of a wall. I because the wall was a midtone, I set the darks a bit lighter and the lights a bit darker to push photograph into a "lighter" midtone.
I applied different amounts of masking to control the shading of the color. I tried to limit the number of layers to three to force myself to push and pull the linework like ink, rather than digital.
