your knack for shoe shapes of any sort always pleases me in how you draw them. the more laces, the more design, a sense of organized chaos that still makes sense. there's just such a neat form to the cartoonish shoe and you smack that right in the forehead.

I altered it further so now the ribbons and leg belts are also swapped, so maybe some more people will be fooled.
Thank you for appreciating the shoes! It does bother me when they look shoddily rendered, so I tend to return to them repeatedly throughout the process. I only recently started putting the laces on a separate layer.

I think they're both adorable in their own unique silly way. And as I've said I LOVE the way you draw faces and expressions! Gibbet(Narthex) is especially cute without her glasses though I think she needs the pinecone back to help her navigate the world now.
Would love to see more of them in whatever misadventure they get themselves into. :)

the shirt change was a late addition! Initially only the glasses, the flower, and inexplicably the "hair" styles switched sides. I would prefer them to not both have the same hair as each other, and I already ended up giving something similar also to the cookie-enthusiast lizard, but I probably just need to look up actual hair references to see more ways to handle that matter.
