Gloria Ink Witch - Patreon Promo
So here's a thing that I've been keeping quiet about for the past couple years that I might as well own up to. I have a NSFW Patreon account that's an extension of the work I've been sharing here and in other locations over the years under a pseudonym. If you've seen me at conventions since the pandemic ended you'll likely have noticed a binder I've brought with me containing original artwork I've been uploading to this Patreon account along with selected prints that I thought folks might find appealing. While the category is "Not safe for work" a lot of people have commented that there's really nothing naughty or raunchy to it, but all the same I've spent a LONG time trying to make sure that A) my real name isn't associated with NSFW material and B) that my all-ages friendly work is what is the focus of my convention commissions. While it's true that I love me some good appealing pinup work my real passion with character artwork is *personalities* and acting and I didn't want to have my commission queue tip over into primarily NSFW material (no offense to anyone who does focus on that).
Another reason I'm commenting on this now is that up until this point I've only really promoted it in a roundabout fashion with people at the conventions mainly getting to find out about it. For everyone looking at my primary accounts like here on FA or Twitter / Bluesky I've not said much of anything to let acknowledge it even exists, and darnit, I like sharing my work and hearing feedback on it. Drawing and telling stories with my art is super important to me and if there's an audience of people who would like to see something a **little** more outré from me then, hey, why don't you point your browser over this direction and see if this appeals to you?

Here's the breakdown of how I've set things up: $5 a month is the level where I try to upload one new fully finished illustration a week. $10 a month is where I add another upload once or twice a week to show the work-in-progress version of the finished picture I've shared, and then hopefully one more upload that's totally sketchwork of additional concepts that may or may not eventually turn into a finished illustration. Finally at $15 a month I've uploaded some things that are pushing the boundaries of what I normally feel comfortable sharing. Something more than pinups. I haven't put up a lot of stuff in that category so set your expectations accordingly. Notable things I have uploaded to this level are 4K resolution images including some customized computer wallpaper images and even a video time-lapse playback of some things being drawn.
All in all the whole Patreon thing has been an opportunity for me to get the kind of financial support needed to coax me into doing this on a regular basis, and I'm incredibly grateful for the response I've gotten so far. Previously I'd do something under the Pseudonym maybe a couple times a year, with long stretches of nothing. But now? Once or twice a week is what I'm aiming for. I'm also listening to what people are commenting on, trying to let this endeavor evolve into something that people feel connected to and can influence. Popular characters, fanart, subject matter, personal OCs? It's all on the table and ultimately comes down to what I have time for and what gets a good reaction when I share it.
A word of note: if you're already familiar with the way Patreon conducts business then you may have heard that Apple is throwing its weight around and requiring that anyone who subscribes through the IOS version of the Patreon application that Apple mandates that they get a cut of the money, which translates into either Apple taking that money out of the Patreon account owners payout, or the subscriber having to pay a higher fee to account for Apple's charge. I've currently selected the option to just forbid anyone from subscribing via the IOS application but even that will be going away by November 2025. So please be aware, and I'm sorry for the unnecessary complication this involves. Patreon also says that they're going to be getting rid of the default subscription method I've been using all this time which takes payment at the beginning of each month regardless of when you sign up. So if you would like to try join you could try waiting until tomorrow November 1st as that's the point where the new policy is supposed to take effect.
One last thing is that I really suck at doing personal promotion work and social media engagement. I just like to draw and entertain folks but I'm not so with-it when it comes to letting people know who I am, where they can find me, or why they should even care in the first place. I don't know how much of a fuss I'm going to make about promoting this Patreon again here or on other venues so if you like what you see and would like to see more then maybe share some word-of-mouth? Come check me out at the conventions I'm attending and just let me know that you enjoy what I share and encourage me to do more. :D
Cheers y'all! Let's have fun.

1. About the Patreon thing: I wish I could afford to participate, but I say go for it! Considering the quality of your artwork, I'm sure you'll get plenty of customers. (However, I have to admit that I personally would have made the announcement in a journal instead of attaching it to an unrelated picture.)
2. I've seen some other cute witch pictures today, but IMHO this is unquestionably the best! It's always great to see Gloria, and in this pic she's cuter and more appealing than ever. She exemplifies the kind of Halloween I like: a holiday of fun and friendliness, not blood and gore. (Oh, and candy. Can't forget the candy.)

I'm really glad whether people are able to join for one month or for several successive months, or even to just jump in and see what's new now and then. And anybody who sees me at my convention table will get a chance to see all the art I've done (what's not sold at least) directly, so there's plenty of options available. I do appreciate the interest!
Regarding witches, I like that there's such a broad range of witchy types to portray from fun to scary, but you know me, -my default approach to most anything is to find the fun in it!

One more thing! I'd love to see this version of Gloria in a pic with Malice the Candy Mage, assuming her owner okays it.
