Biennial Akire Doodle (2024)
Another upload!
HEY! I've been doing this for 10 years now!
So what is this? This is an Akire drawing I do every two years so far. I look at the previous version of the pic I did (2 years ago) and try and redraw it but drawing how I do currently in order to see what kind of things have changed since then. Fun thing for this year's version is that: I started the drawing, and halfway through I thought "Man, this looks exactly like the one 2 years ago.. my art style hasn't changed at all.." and then once I finished and actually looked at them side by side I realized how very different they were. Honestly I probably made Akire's shirt too tight here, should be more bulky. But for these drawings I try not to go back and change too much overall, just a few of the lines here and there. There are some things I liked about the last iteration over this one: I did like the thicker lines in some places (not all), lately I've been making thinner lines on all of my art. And maybe this version is a tiny bit too tall proportion-wise (maybe? Though the shirt is supposed to be very long and cover past her crotch so it makes her look a bit stretched out?) But I always did make her outfit bigger in order to hide my lack of anatomy knowledge early on. (not that I'm amazing now, but that's why a lot of my early art was blob shirts) Though I definitely like the improvement I've made with arms (hands still kinda suck obviously but overall a bit better)

Overall I think this one came out alright. It was a bit rushed, but it just kinda shows how different I'm drawing lately than I was 2 years ago.
I wonder how much my art will change in another 2 years..? Who knows? I'll see y'all in 2026 I guess~
