They were not quite top of their class at University, but very few women were taking sciences as Majors back then certainly not with an interest in Space. NASA had decided to invite the twins and a very few other women from the University of Edinburgh to basically wander around the Capes instillation's. Allowed off on their own (a cadet kept an eye on them, for 'safety' reasons) they were currently looking at the Mercury displays. Above them, high in the sky, Skylab floated still both knew that their chances of visiting that little tin can were below zero. 'Men only' club you see.


Little did they know but a certain very tiny group of medical personnel were very interested in getting these two young and attractive women 'into the program.' Why, a natural control dirtside while the 'experiment' traveled high in the sky was perfect for their private little projects. That the Twins would eventually refer to them as 'The Mengele Brothers' was a real shock to those two white coated men.


What really lit NASA's interest in them was their forgotten dual citizenship, though they referred to themselves as 'Scots under British Occupation' they were also legally United States Citizens, Mom may have been Scots but Dad had been an American citizen by birth, when the government shipped mom and daughters back to Britain after their father died, certain paperwork had simply been ignored by a very self-centered Major, much to many officials discomfort later in their years.


"Going to deport us? Where to, Virginia or Scotland' they once asked a police official in Florida.



I really have to find the energy to write their story.
