Autumn can be a very pretty season where I live.
The Sable River Mill is a beloved local landmark, and it's especially photogenic during the fall season.
Built in 1863, it hasn't served as a functional mill for some time. A dam that was built on the Sable River in 1954 dropped the river's level below the mill's wheel, rendering it decorative instead of functional.
Still...it's been nicely maintained and preserved, and it's a popular photo subject among locals and visitors alike.
