Try having a look at warehouse jobs, such as order picking just to keep things rolling along until something better comes along.

I can't work in a warehouse due to my ptsd from my previous job, And temp agencies here is garbage for minorities people like me.

its not your fault, all this job garbage is set up to make people fail. its a bad system top to bottom, and that says nothing about the kind of person YOU are so don't let it. we are so, so much more than merely "productive laborers".

McFlyhusky is right. After reading your info and the terrible pay you got, that job took advantage of you and those types of jobs are no different than scams. I’m so sorry, KJ. germany had the same, you got 200-300 euros base payment and some extra for every letter/package delivered. needless to say if you had days with nothign to deliver you were screwed. even then they had to rely on social welfare just to survive... since that ain't the state's duty, they established germany's first minimum wage just for delivery staff. needless to say all these cheapo companies closed up immediately.

that being said it's not your fault all the jobs out there don't pay enough, it's the governments fault. it's just greed.

My friend just got screwed over also. You are NOT a failure. Theres just a lot of currupt shit going on and its painful for a lot of us. Be strong ok. If I could give you a hug I would. If you got siblings or family that will give you a hug now would be a good time to ask a friend for a hug

I don't know what country you live in so this will be more or less relevant, depending.

I think I've been over this before, but I was laid off from the best job I ever loved just over eight years ago. I had worked as a computer systems analyst making very good money. Almost every application I filled out, every résumé I submitted went nowhere. I applied for three to five positions a week for three years. Dead ends, nearly all of them. I finally got one company to admit that my previous employer had blackballed me, just because the Vice President didn't like me. Then I found out that a couple of months after I was blackballed, a bunch of the 'suits' from Germany came to town for a full week of meetings. As a result, they frog-marched him out the same door I had been escorted out of. He wasn't laid off, he was fired for cause, lack of job knowledge. He was supposed to be the VP of Information Technology, and he barely knew how to turn on his own computer.

I worked as a security guard off and on for about four years; it's usually an easy job to get. Finally, Social Security kicked in and I just gave it up and now I'm living on that and my Individual Retirement Accounts.

I'm not sure how to interpret this, and I'm in the US

Basically, that you aren't alone. I was pooped on by my corporation and they deliberately made sure I didn't have a recourse. I don't know what their intentions were, but they succeeded in destroying my life.

Your actions prove the exact opposite of how you feel. You saw a job taking advantage of you. Taking advantage of your time and your energy while being detrimental to own financial wellbeing. A "loser" and "failure" would have simply gone along with it and continued to work because "it's work" even if it put themselves at a personal instability.

You did the opposite. You knew it wasn't right and that it was unacceptable. You stood up for yourself and stood up for right to demand adequate pay from a job. That's not a failure, that's someone not about to let themself be walked all over.

You do not know until you go for it and are in the situation. Do not hold it against yourself for not being able to foresee the future. Be proud and take solace in knowing you saw what was happening and got out of there.

I don't know you that way, but I do know, that that isn't fair, and apparently alot of jobs do that, alot of these bosses out here mostly suck, none of that was your fault. The fact that you get up and try your best is admirable in my eyes!
I do hope that you'll be able to find a job that pays you well enough, and someday make enough form your hobbies to not need a job, or at least am able to afford a part-time job.
