It’s just not Elvira without that iconic beehive hairdo of hers, and this fourth and final gif animation by Mussette Pappillion definitely focuses very nicely on that beehive, as it vanishes along with the rest of her. ;).

This final gif beautifully depicts poor Elvira’s final moments before she is swallowed up by the quicksand. That slow descent down into the sandy ooze, her teeth gritted to show her straining struggles, and that last fearful look at the rising surface. But what truly makes this gif is that last view of just her beehive sticking up from the quicksand, and that little final wiggle before it sinks completely under. The rippling and undulation of the quicksand is great, and how those sink lines flatten out as the sand closes over the top of her beehive is very well done, and that last bubble pop at the very end is icing on the cake. It would seem that that it for poor Elvira, as this magnificent animated series comes to an end, along with the famed Mistress of the Dark herself.
