This is a continuation of Inktober Day 15 and 16.
Taking a stroll around the capital, you noticed a peculiar storefront you missed when you had first arrived. Well, you noticed the particular dragon guarding it first, but close enough. Taking a handful of flyers from the strange man, you recognize it to be a guidebook similar to that scrap you recovered the other day. Now that the "scourges of the skies" have abated, turns out people are quite interested in just seeing dragons... oh and without the chance of becoming crispy or... bleedy.
As part of the recent tourism boom, a taskforce was formed with the job of consolidating tourist-relevant information within the kingdom, especially the capital. Surveyors would travel anonymously to evaluate both risk and rewards of their assigned area, journaling (see? this totally fits the prompt) everything and reporting back. As such, when acting in an official capacity, surveyors often would wear masks or hoods to protect their identity. Scribes would then take that information, consolidate it, and copy it out to be distributed, a simple task but an arduous one. They are often identified by their robes and hoods because... well it's not really a uniform thing, you guess it's just comfy when they're writing all day or something.
Though you think they must be slacking or something, cause you haven't seen these around at all for some reason... surely they would be everywhere if they were doing their jobs. Though it is pretty long, it goes all the way from "Local Lingo and Slang" to- oh damn, a pair of hatchlings managed to snatch the papers right out of your hand again. Guess you'll never find out.
