ATTENTION TO ANYONE WHO'S ALREADY READ BOOK ONE!!!
Tales_of_empyrean was kind enough to give me some constructive criticism on that part of the story and said it needed some editing. Now, while I disagree with a lot of what he said, I did some thinking and realized, dammit, he's right. It DID need some editing. So, at one minute past midnight on 6/5/07 I reloaded a newly proofread copy. Anyone who read it before this time, plese re-download it, or else you'll have the old, sucky version.
It ain't perfect, but it is a little better. Thanks, Tales.

Absolutely fantastic, and much better than the original. The characters are well thought out, the story's great, I really want to see what happens next, and I'm so happy Eddie got his just desserts! :D Max is the coolest Zombie around! :D
And on the side note some questions:
Does the word "Furson" mean something or has it been used in furry stories a lot so it's become a commond word. Also, from what I read it looks as though you have two separate kinds of animals, the "furries" who inhabit the world and live like humans, and the natural animals who are kept as pets. Are some species furry and other species natural animals? I thought it just sounded a little confusing when there was a wild fox, but a "furry" fox in the restaurant, it's just a little something I've often wondered about :P

Basically, I just use furson to designate that the character is an anthropomorphic animal, not a human. Plus, I think it sounds cute.
As far as the nonevs go, my idea of this furry world is that humans created furries, or some kind of sciencey thing that spawned them, and then went extinct not too long afterwards, leaving furries to fill the gap. Obviously, there's no reason why non-evolved (or non-anthropomorphic) animals wouldn't still be around. Succinctly, the four-legged critters came first, and were the templates for all the furries to come. Which also explains why there are more furries of species that humans think are visually appealing, rather than a more natural distribution. Humans made the first ones, which became the most popular species, but furries then learned how to further themselves, both by natural reproduction and giving humanoid forms to other nonev species.
But hell, that's just my take on things.
