I've been reading a comic book series called "DMZ" by Brian Wood (published by DC's mature imprint Vertigo), and really enjoying it. It's about a photo journalist who gets stranded in Manhattan, the demilitarized zone, during a second American civil war in the not too distant future.
So, quasi fanart, my badger guy sitting on his step on a hot day in the ruined city, noticing some activity in the distance.
Sorry for the lack of proper updates around here, working on a few time consuming things.

I haven't read DMZ in a while. I got kinda miffed with how its been going, but would like to get back to it. The end of the series is nearing I believe.
Very nice scene. I hope war hasn't made you less angry than normal. Someone has to chase off tohse looters.
RE: The city's destruction
I didn't do it! ^_^;
....at least it wasn't all my fault
....that is to say it was an accident when I tripped and cracked that gas line and that car crash happened that made things explode.

I thought I had read a lot of it and then started picking up the TPBs and realized I was only as far as the beginning of the second one.
When I was in Alabama I was buying Northlanders and the kid working at the Books a Million said he really liked it (Northlanders), but hated DMZ because it was unamerican. And proceeded to get all red faced and upset. It was very odd.
And yeah, the series is almost over.
Nah, super grumpy as usual.
I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed.
