This picture was made to show how church rhetoric like this is indeed destructive. It represents how nonsense like this weighs down on me and makes me feel awful. Being trans and stuck in a conservative church is nightmarish.
The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, the church whose statement is quoted in the image, is a transphobic denomination. If I ever can free myself from this, I will stop attending it.

I had the luck to not be raised in a 'religious' environment, still I've experienced myself a lot of times the bad aspects of religion...
I wish you could free yourself from this hell... Christianity, and many other religions, speak about 'love' but in reality they are soked with hidden misanthropy.. They speak of an individual thinking 'soul', but instead try to change everyone into a bland machine by means of rituals and dogmats...
And the 'believers'... They will hurt others in most cruel and absurd ways, saying things like you've cited above, just to protect the comfort of their 'believes' at any cost... Horrible.. But happens far too often
