After Brooke's original PET was effectively destroyed under the rubble of Dentech Centre, she created her own at one of Nebula's hidden bases, choosing a purple design compared to the plain "default navi colour on gray" scheme. During her time on the run, Scarlet's emblem matched the darker purple of the open face.

After the events of Scarlet Battle Network, IPC had confiscated the custom PET, as it had modifications to the hardware and software that would have given Brooke an unfair advantage. Their plan was to completely destroy the PET and give Brooke a stock PET. However, Dr. Yuichiro Hikari had a different idea, replace the motherboard with a stock one, but keep the case the same. When IPC asked about the custom software, as well as the software stolen from SciLab, Dr. Hikari had noted that Brooke was skilled in using Style Change and Soul Unison, even in crossfusion. Brooke's bond with Scarlet, though damaged, still allowed a great sync level, making all the abilities possible, though nerfed from what they were.

Shuuseki and Chaud were apprehensive, to say the least, about letting Brooke getting her PET back almost as it was, but relented as the best course of action was rehabilitation, not punishment. On her first day at SciLab, she was given her PET back, though it was now engraved with a proper serial number.
